Lionel Western Maryland Shay Steam Locomotive 6-18023

This is an amazing opportunity to add a Shay locomotive to your running fleet, at a very reasonable price.

This detailed, semi-scaled O Gauge locomotive is a Class C unit with three trucks and therefore requires O-54 curves at a minimum.

We recommend using O-60 Lionel FasTrak at a minimum and O-72 switches as that is the most likely derailing location. Remember, the prototype was not a speed demon and this should not be run as one. Slower operation allows you to see the intricate gearing.

It features Western Maryland graphics, all die-cast construction, die-cast trucks, metal wheels and gears, and operating couplers.

It also includes an operating front and rear headlight with directional/constant-voltage lighting, operating smoke generator, electronic reverse, Lionel Steam Sounds, firebox glow, traction tire control, realistic coal load, and two crew figures.
