Refund and Return Policy

David’s Trains sells model trains, train accessories, and related collectible items. Many items are pre-owned, used, vintage, collectible, discontinued, or limited-quantity products.

All sales are final unless the product received is materially incorrect or materially different from the product description.

We do not accept returns or issue refunds for buyer’s remorse, duplicate purchases, change of mind, minor cosmetic variations, packaging wear that was shown or described, manufacturer variations, or issues that were disclosed before purchase.

Items are sold as-is. We make reasonable efforts to describe each item accurately, including condition, box condition, included items, known defects, price, and availability.

Return eligibility

A return may be accepted only if:

- The wrong item was shipped.
- The item received is materially different from the product description.
- The item was materially misrepresented in the listing.

Return request window

You must contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery if you believe an item qualifies for return.

- Order number
- Product name
- Photos of the item received
- Photos of the shipping box and packaging
- A short explanation of the issue

Return shipping

If David’s Trains shipped the wrong item or materially misdescribed the item, David’s Trains will pay for return shipping.

For any return approved for another reason, the customer is responsible for return shipping.

Returned items must be shipped back in the same condition received, with all included parts, accessories, paperwork, boxes, and packaging materials.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued after the returned item is received and inspected.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible.

Shipping charges are not refunded unless the return is due to our error or a material misdescription.

Damage in shipping

If an item arrives damaged, contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery. Keep the product, all packaging, and the shipping box. Photos may be required for carrier claim review.

Non-returnable items

The following are not returnable unless the wrong item was shipped or the item was materially misdescribed:

- Used or pre-owned model trains
- Vintage or collectible items
- Items sold as-is
- Clearance or final-sale items
- Items with disclosed cosmetic wear
- Items with disclosed box or packaging wear
- Items damaged after delivery
