Lionel's 6-29233 Conrail Overstamp Penn Central Boxcar #6464-598 is a detailed O gauge model train boxcar featuring the Conrail corporate roadname simulating a repaint over the beautiful Pennsylvania Central teal. This is part of a series of Conrail overspray simulations that are highly collectible. Conrail (Consolidated Rail) represented a freight merger of several Northeast-based railroads about the same time as those railroads stopped passenger servicd in favor of Amtrak. They painted over (oversprayed) the fallen flags' (defunct railroads grilling the merger) rolling stock. Lionel made a series of these.
